Ellen B Southwick, 70, passed away April, 12, 2013, due to complications of dementia.
She was born November 5, 1942 in Delta, Utah to Theon "Bill" Bliss and Regina Bliss.
She grew up in East Carbon, Utah, was a dancer and cheerleader and graduated from East Carbon High School in 1961. She attended the University of Utah, majoring in dance and ballet. She married Edward G Southwick on February 9, 1963 in East Carbon. She put her husband through medical school in Washington, DC, lived in Honolulu Hawaii, Wertheim Germany, San Francisco, CA, Monterey, CA, and returned to the Salt Lake area in 1975. She and her husband traveled the world fly fishing, as well as to their cabin in Island Park, Idaho.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Christopher (Shannon), and Andrew (Megan); and grand-daughters, Haley, Sydney, Kate and Ruby.
Preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Hugh Kirkendall.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery, 3115 E 7800 S, with a Celebration of her life to follow from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Silverado Senior Living, 1430 E 4500 S. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the at alz.org, in her name.
