Albert L. Wentzel, 95, of Maple Street, Halifax, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, at Premier at Susquehanna Village in Millersburg.
He was born in Lykens Township. a son of the late Irvin and Iva (Koppenheffer) Wentzel.
Albert was a World War II Navy veteran serving in the Pacific.
He retried from the former TRW and was also a mechanic at the former Mattern Buick in Millersburg, Burrell Pontiac in Halifax, and Kemp Buick in Harrisburg.
His memberships include the Halifax United Methodist Church, the VFW Post 5750, and the TRW Pioneers Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Spotts; two sons, Melvin (Martha) of Middleburg and Steven (Susan) of Lock Haven; one sister, Lila Baddorf of Lewisburg; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Shutt.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Halifax United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial and military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
