Edward Mundell Sr.
DOVER, Minn. - Edward Mundell Sr., 78, Dover, was found dead in bed by his wife at their home about 6 a.m. Tuesday.
He was born Nov. 1, 1888, near Chatfield to Joseph and Mary Novak Mundell. He married Isabel Pinkham July 17, 1925, at Chatfield. The couple farmed there until 1959 when they moved to Dover upon retirement.
Survivors are: His wife; three sons, Edward Jr., Rochester; John, Dover, and Gerald, Fort Leonardwood, Mo.; two daughters, Mrs. James (Betty) Blunt, Plattsmouth, Neb., and Mrs. E. R. (Mary) Damm, Billings, Mont., four grandchildren; two brothers, Charles, Rochester, and Arthur, Chatfield, and four sisters, Mrs. Nick (Minnie) Kozak and Miss Bessie Mundell, Kenosha, Wis.; Mrs. Mabel Kenyon, Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Frank (Tillie) Kabat, Chatfield. One brother and two sisters have died.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Boetzer-Akeson Funeral Home, Chatfield, the Rev. Earl Streyffeler, Dover Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Chatfield Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Thomas Hander, Arnold Storm, Cecil Head, Morris Monette, Clifford Manning and Robert McConnell.
