Daughter of Robert Leon and Jeannie Mathewes Seay, wife of James Culbert West.

NASHVILLE - Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Seay West, 54, 711 Branch Creek Road, will be at 10 a.m. today at West End United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mrs. West, widow of James Culbert West, who was co-owner of Culbert Construction Co., died Sunday in Sumner County Memorial Hospital in Gallatin following a stroke.

She was a native of New Orleans and attended the University of South Carolina. Mrs. West, an employee of Burris Hardware, was a track official at Tennessee State University. She was a member of West End United Methodist Church where she served as youth coordinator for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. James Culbert West Jr. of Nashville and James Mainer West of Birmingham; four daughters, Mrs. Jeannie W. Garettson of Hamilton, Ohio, Miss Elizabeth Caroline West of Reston, Va., Miss Anne Battle West of Knoxville and Miss Martha Enloe West of Nashville; two brothers, Robert Leon Seay Jr. of Dundalk, Md. and William Reynolds Seay of Metairie, La.; and 6 grandchildren.
