On May 21, 1817, Jeremiah Woodman and Cynthia Dillin were joined in marriage by Esq. Robison in the town of Brownsville, Jefferson County, New York. They were blessed with births of ten children.
As a result of his service in the War of 1812, Jeremiah Woodman received a land warrant. He was one of the first settlers of Richland County, Wisconsin. Land Warrant #8732 description is as follows: NE qtr of Sec. 35 in Township 10 North of Range 1. It consisted of 160 acres and was registered at Mineral Point, WI.
Most of Jeremiah and Cynthias's children also came to Wisconsin; some returned to Wolfe Island with Cynthia after Jeremiah's death.
Jeremiah died in Richland County, WI on May 1, 1867 at the age of 72 years and 10 months and is buried at Dayton Corners Cemetary in Richland County. A GAR emblem stands beside his gravesite.
