Mr. Jewett was born in Milford, son of Willis and Jennie (Phillips) Jewett. He had been a resident of Nashua for the past 21 years, and had previously resided in the Wilton and Milford areas.
Mr. Jewett worked at Batesville Casket Co. in Nashua for the past 20 years.
He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He was active in the Boy Scouts and was a notary.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Jewett was educated in local schools.
Survivors include his son, Leonard "Marty" Jewett Jr., of Nashua, and his brother, Willis Jewett of Litchfield.
The Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home in Nashua is in charge of arrangements.
