Linda L. Estelle, 73, of 14 Brecher St., Monroeton, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 21, 2018, at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvaina. Linda was born in Wyalusing, Pennsylvania, on Feb. 3, 1945, the daughter of Neil and Lois Hecker Estelle. She was a graduate of Wyalusing Valley High School with the class of 1963 and in early years was employed as a real estate agent in Bradford County and by the dental office of Dr. Clark Sparrow in Towanda. On Jan. 30, 2004, Linda retired from the Pennsylvania State Police Barracks in North Towanda where she served as a communications officer for 24 years. Linda was a member of the Retired State Police Association of Pennsylvania, Towanda Elks Lodge, Towanda Country Club, Towanda Gun Club, Monroeton Rod and Gun Club and was a social member of the Towanda American Legion and VFW Posts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Linda enjoyed dancing, the outdoors, cross-country skiing, fishing, hunting, watching westerns, and caring for her animals especially “Miss Kitty.”
Surviving are her children, Michelle Chaffee and husband Curt of Warren Center, Pennsylvania, Jim Davis and Nicki of Corning, New York, Brian Davis and wife Kathy of Waverly, New York; grandchildren, Tori Meiswinkel and husband Justin, Cody Chaffee and wife Nickole, Jim Davis and wife Meagan, Jessica Smith and husband Degan, Montana Davis; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her granddaughter, Jenelle Davis.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Maryott-Bowen Funeral Home, 217 York Ave., Towanda, PA 18848. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Towanda, PA 18848.
