ABERDEEN - Ray Napoleon Allen, 66, died May 2, 2007, at his residence. Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow at Hatley Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5:30-9 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Saturday until service time. Mr. Allen was born March 26, 1941, in Beaverton, Ala., to the late William Henry Allen and Annetta Mangum Allen. He had lived in Caledonia and Aberdeen for the past 45 years and had been recently living in the Athens Community. He was employed as plant manager for Sharp Garment and Monroe Trousers. He was a Primitive Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lunell Hood; and brothers, Bill and Roy Allen. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Alice Sullivan Allen of Athens; sons, Curtis Ray Allen of Suffolk, Va., William Michael Allen of Jonesville, La., and Timothy Dewayne Allen of Aberdeen; brothers, Roger Allen of Amory, Troy Allen of Columbus and Coy Allen of Crossville, Ala.; sisters, Olena Morton of Caledonia, Juanita Adkins of Hatley and Henrietta McCutcheon of Columbus; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James and Jessie Allen, Joey, Kenneth and Eric Fretwell, David and Chris Baugh and Lance Lucky.
