Descendants of George and Mary (Stockdale) Newburn - Volume I
Hannah was the first child born to George Earl Newburn and Mary Stockdale. she was 28 years old when she married George Ewers. They were part of the Quaker community in Pennsylvania that helped form the American identity in the 1700s.
After her marriage to George, Hannah transferred her Friends membership to Abington Monthly Meeting, then in Philadelphia County. The couple had three children.
Prior to George Ewers' death, he and Hannah had sold 200 acres of land in Warwick Township, which had been deeded by and inherited from his father. Hannah received a dower right in 66 acres of George Ewers' land in Warwick, with the balance of the 129 acres be owned at his death to be inheritance for his daughters.
She second married Ananias Nelson 14 June 1779 at Abington Monthly Meeting, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
