In 1932, she moved from Beverly to Salina and was the owner and operator of High's Cafe until her retirement in the mid 1950's.
She is survived by her husband Carl High, and by three brothers, Gerald Smith and Alvin Smith of Minneapolis and Kenneth Smith of Salinas, Calif.
A Rosary service was held Monday evening at Geisendorf Rush Smith Funeral Home. The funeral was Tuesday morning at St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Salina. Interment was in Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
