His Legacy… John Harry Gagneur, Jr., Age 86, passed away August 25, 2018. He was born on June 21, 1932, in Detroit, Michigan to John and Violet (Pelchat) Gagneur, Sr. John married the love of his life, Luewanna "Sue" Roath, on January 1, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisana. John grew up in Westland and was a 1950 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He served honorably for four years in the U. S. Air Force. John worked for Unisys in Plymouth as an electrical engineer, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church and was a licensed builder. John was an avid fisherman and shuffleboard player who also enjoyed collecting stamps. He and his wife enjoyed wintering in Ft. Myers, Florida. His greatest joy was his family whom called him "Harry" and raising his boys. He attended all their school and sporting activities and continued doing the same with his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family and all those who knew and loved him.

His Family… John will be missed by his wife Sue, his sons, Paul (Kimberly) Gagneur, Harry (Lisa) Gagneur, Dave (Brook) Gaganeur, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother Richard (Rose) Gagneur and two sister in-laws Joyce Gagneur and Lucy Gagneur. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Roland and Norman Gagneur.

His Farewell… Family and friends will gather Monday, August 27, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Borek Jennings Funeral Home – Braun Chapel in Brooklyn with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rita's Catholic Church 10516 Hayes Rd. Clarklake, MI at 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Fr. Tom Helfrich, OSFS served as celebrant. Burial will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Memorial contributions are suggested to Right to Life of Michigan – www.rtl.org or St. Louis Center at www.stlouiscenter.org.
