Helms, Julia Virginia - Age 92, of Clio, died August 26, 2018. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Interment in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta MI. Julia was born January 23, 1926 in Flint the daughter of James B. and Nellie M. (Lamb) Chapman. She was a 1944 graduate of Kearsley High School. She married Marion C. Helms on February 2, 1946 in Flint; he preceded her in death February 22, 2000. She retired from A.C. Spark Plug in 1975 with 31 years of service. She had lived in Flint all of her life, wintering in Arizona and Texas after retirement. Julia enjoyed travel, bingo, and casinos, but most importantly her children and grandchildren. Surviving are: three children, Charles, Patricia and husband John, Judy; nine grandchildren Tammy and husband Rob; Timothy, Daniel and wife Crystal, Robin and husband Mike, Andrew, Heather and husband Bob, Kurt and wife Tasha, Lance and girlfriend Katee, Stacy; 15 great-grandchildren.
