He served in the Indian Army but when he married Lillian Alice Augier in Bombay in July 1909 he was working in the opium trade.
They were still living and working in India until he retired. In 1939 they were living at Montrose in Waverley Drive in Camberley, but they had moved to Stratfield in Claremont Avenue in Camberley by 1944.
He died on the 25th November 1956 at Frimley Cottage Hospital. He was buried at St Peter’s on the 29th November.
