The funeral for Mr. Lester K. Ross of Atlanta, a Xerox executive killed in a March 3rd plane crash in Colorado Springs, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hoosier United Methodist Church in Atlanta. The body will be cremated. Mr. Ross was 44.
Mr. Ross had been appointed center manager of Xerox Business Services in Houston, Texas, in January. After working for the company in Irvine, Calif., from 1970 to 1983, he came to Atlanta where he served as Southeast regional production manager from 1983 to 1986 and as a sales manager from 1986 to 1991.
Lester Keith Ross was born May 8, 1946, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of James Ross and Barbara Anderson Ross. He served in the Marine Corps and graduated from Pepperdine University with a bachelor's degree in administrative services.
Mr. Ross received posthumously the Xerox Presidential Award.
Surviving are his wife, Joan Barnes Ross of Atlanta; a son, Wesley Owens of Terre Haute; his mother, Barbara Ross Webb of Terre Haute; his stepfather, Wallace Webb of Terre Haute; his maternal grandmother, Roberta Anderson of Terre Haute; three brothers, Donald Ross of Terre Haute and Warren and Louis Ross of Indianapolis; a stepbrother, Wallace Webb Jr. of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Susan Ross of Newport Beach, Calif.; and a stepsister, Mary H. Worrell of Indianapolis.
