Feb. 2, 1899
Thomas H. Wisner, an aged and respected citizen, died of dropsy in Decatur, January 30, aged seventy-one years and three months. The deceased came with his parents sixty years ago from Pennsylvania, settling in Ohio for a short time, and then came to Adams county, where he has since lived. Having never married, he made his home with his brother, W. A. Wisner. The deceased was of a very industrious nature. His only religious creed was, "to do good to all and never hate", and it may be truthfully said of him, that never did a harmful word pass his lips, nor an unworthy action receive his sanction. Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday morning at ten o'clock conducted by Rev. Duckett. Interment in Maplewood cemetery.
