OBITUARY
Mrs. Myrtle Houghton, 77, of 1600 Corunna avenue, Owosso, died Wednesday night at Memorial hospital after being in poor health for the past several years. She was born in Cohoctah June 15, 1880, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette Houghtaling. She lived in Shiawassee county until 1920 when she moved to Detroit. She moved to Corunna in 1944. On June 15, 1901, she was married to Milton E. Houghton.
Mrs. Houghton was a life member of the Keystone chapter No. 52 of the Order of Eastern Star in Detroit, and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Survivors include their daughter, Mrs. George Ruttmann, with whom she resided; two siste4rs, Mrs. Seth Legg and Mrs. Louis Bidwell, both of Howell; and a grandson and three great-grand-children.
The funeral was at 2 o'clock Saturday from the Kribs funeral home in Crunna with burial at Greenwood cemetery in Vernon.
