Katherine (Dotty) Adams, 89, passed into the Loving arms of her Savior on August 29, 2018 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Gardiner on June 21,1929, the daughter of Chester and Arlene (Purdy) Rose. Katherine attended grammar school in Gardiner and was a 1947 graduate of Gardiner High School. After high school she met and married Mayron G. Adams.

Katherine worked at Commonwealth shoe and Leather in Gardiner for many years. She also worked at Stevens school for girls in Hallowell until it closed. She then went on to work as a mental health worker at Augusta State Hospital until her retirement. During her retirement Katherine enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, eating lobster, doing word searches, reading, watching TV, and of course her nights out with the girls playing Beano. A day never passed when you would not find her reading her Bible and doing her daily devotionals.

She was predeceased by her parents: Chester and Arlene Rose, her husband Mayron, daughter Pamela Adams, daughter Jackie Phillis, Son Chester (Topper) Adams and grandson David L Adams Jr.
