Mrs. Amy R. Baker
Funeral services for Mrs. Amy R. Baker, 86, Newton, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 3, from the Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Newton Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Cupit officiated.
Mrs. Baker, who died May 1 at Newton Hospital, was a member of the Newton United Methodist Church. A retired nurse, she was preceeded in death by her husband, Robert Lewis Baker Sr.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Victor (Helen) Murphey Jr., Newton; one son, Hugh G. Baker Sr., Newton; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Albert Carr, Joe Kirby, Hugh G. Baker, Jr., Emmett Baker, Clifford Lamar and Tommy Emerson.
Webb Funeral Home was in charge.
