Married to Peter Joseph "Pop Pete" Culley on February 19, 1917.

OBITUARY:

Mrs. Julia Mae Culley, 73, of 519 North Sixth Street, was fatally stricken while riding in an automobile and was pronounced dead at St. Elizabeth Hospital at 8:20 a.m. Friday.

Mrs. Culley was riding with Frank Lawson, who was taking her to his home, 621 North Thirty-First Street. Mrs. Lawson is Mrs. Culley's granddaughter. Mrs. Culley had been in failing health five years with a heart ailment.

Born in Benton County, she lived in Lafayette 60 years and was married in 1917 to Peter J. Culley who died in 1946. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons, William E. Ellis, Warsaw R. 1, and George A. Ellis, Lafayette R. 10, born during a previous marriage; two brothers, George Coleman of Otterbein and Edward Coleman of Lafayette, and a sister, Mrs. Claude Foster of Lafayette.

Friends may call at Soller-Baker Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Sunday. Services in St. Ann's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday, Rev. Leo McHale officiating; burial in St. Mary Cemetery. Rosary service in funeral home at 3 p.m. Sunday. Nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren survive.
