Elsie L. Harris, 81, formerly of St. Paul, Kansas, died at 7:05 a.m., September 04, 2018 in Denver, Colorado.

She was born May 16, 1937, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Lorenza Dow Wort and Frances Marie (Snow) Wort.

She attended country schools in Crawford and Neosho counties before moving with her family to McCune where she graduated high school. Following high school, she attended Labette Community College in Parsons where she received a degree in Business Administration.

She and Melvin Harris were married September 21, 1958 in McCune, Kansas. After marriage, they resided in Saint Paul, KS.

He preceded her in death on May 1, 2004.
Elsie began working on the factory line at the Parsons Ammunition Plant in the late 1970’s and retired as a Quality Assurance Specialist in the early 2000’s. Prior to that she worked at Broderick’s garment Factory in Parsons for over 13 years.

She was a long-time member of the Galesburg Christian Church in Galesburg, KS.

She and Frank Leach were married August 2006, in Joplin, MO.

He preceded her in death in October, 2013.
