Warwick, Charles H. Casey, Jr., ODT, of Tivoli Court passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at his home. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth A. (Ross) Casey.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Dr. Charles H. Casey and Mary (O'Neil) Casey.
Dr. Casey was a graduate of La Salle Academy and Providence College.
Following college, he served our nation proudly in the United States Army in Germany for two years.
He received his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. Post graduate studies were completed at the New England College of Optometry and the New York College of Optometry. He practiced in Rhode Island for fifty years. He was a member of the Rhode Island Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the New England Council of Optometrists. Dr. Casey was a communicant of Saint Gregory the Great Church, Warwick, Rhode Island.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles H. Casey III, of Pawtucket, RI and many nieces and nephews. He was also the twin brother of the late Honorable Paul F. Casey, and the brother of the late Mary E. Ryan of Virginia Beach, VA.
The funeral was held on Friday, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Saint Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
