Obituary for Evelyn May Grammer
EVELYN MAY GRAMMER, 89, of Port Orchard, Wa. passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 17, 2015 at Orchard Point Memory Care Center.

Born to Ira and Mary Jessee on March 16, 1926 in Bell, California, she was the elder of two sisters. Evelyn (or Evie as she preferred) married Roy W. Grammer on July 25, 1943. (She was so proud of weighing only 113 pounds!) Together they had three children, David, Julie and Lori.

She lived all of her life in Southern California before moving to Port Orchard in 2000. She enjoyed singing by the campfire, dancing, camping, boating, spending time with family and friends and tending to her lovely roses over the years. She mastered crossword puzzles, was known to occasionally yodel and could never be beat by any of us at arm wrestling! And no matter what life handed her, she always persevered. She was truly an inspiration to many.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her mother and father, her son David, her daughter Lori, her grandson Delaney and her sister Beverly.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband Roy, her daughter Julie, her 6 grandchildren, Douglas, Jessica, David, Dale, Alicia, and Crystal. Also her 10 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Delainie, Rebekah, Sam, Jared, Alaina, Devin, Kaylee, Reagan and Zoey. And her great, great grandson Jehu.

There were no services held, at her request. She will be truly missed, forever loved and always remembered by all who knew her.
