ALBION, ME--Carol Laverne Clark, 85, of Albion, ME, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018 surrounded by family at Lakewood Continuing Care Center. Carol passed peacefully into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her husband Leslie “Pal” Clark who predeceased her on November 26, 2014. They were married on September 8, 1951 and enjoyed a long and happy marriage.

Carol was born April 23, 1933, the oldest daughter of Elwood and Alice Knight. She graduated from Besse High School in Albion, ME and shortly after began her married life and raising her family. She was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist church and Albion Senior Citizens group. She also immensely enjoyed her monthly meetings with the “Tea Party Ladies”. Carol was known for her homemaking skills, wonderful food including the best chocolate chip cookies and cherry nut cake around, her crafting abilities, her crochet or knit doilies and afghans, needlework, and handmade gifts. Anyone who was blessed to receive one of her handmade gifts truly knew how special they were to her.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents, Elwood and Alice (Haskell) Knight.

She is survived by a large and loving family. Surviving her is younger sister Barbara Knight of Albion, ME who spent almost every day of the past 9 months by her side, caring for her. They shared many fun times together over the years, including a cross country road trip to Texas prior to Pal's passing and have shared many stories of various shenanigans when they were younger. She will be remembered lovingly by her children Sandra (Clark) and husband Lars Jonassen, of Albion, ME, Brian Clark and wife Vicky, of Worcester MA, Steven Clark and wife Janice, of Eagle Pass TX, and Cathy Clark and Sharon Arneson, of Allen TX. She was blessed to have spent many wonderful times and made countless memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
