Diane Clare Huddlestun, 85, of South Bend, died at her home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was born in Paynesville, MN on October 30, 1932 to Clarence and Orpha (Hoskins) LeMasurier, who preceded her in death. Diane moved to the South Bend area in 1949, and graduated from Washington-Clay High School in 1950. On March 9th 1951 in South Bend, she married Robert L. Huddlestun, who survives. Also surviving are two children: Michael (Julie) Huddlestun and Terri (Larry) Lies; four grandchildren: Rebekah (Carl) Cole, Michael Huddlestun, II, Jonathan (Julie) Lies, Jessica (Mark) Chrobak; and a half-brother, Stephen Ferrell.

Diane was a secretary for the Indiana University School of Medicine, South Bend Campus and loved working with the students she fondly referred to as her kids. Upon retirement she volunteered as a “flower lady” at Memorial Hospital and delivered her special kindness as well as the flowers to the patients.

Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved and faithfully served her God and her savior, Jesus Christ. She sleeps awaiting his return.

Diane was a member of Timberland Bible Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the church, 16623 SR 23, South Bend. Friends will be received one hour prior to the services with burial at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
