Deceased has been in somewhat poor health for several years and for the last six months has been steadily failing.
The last work he did in his profession was in March at Monticello and on his return from there he took to his room and
was seen upon the street no more.
From that time Mr.Bunn went steadily down and though there were days when he was more comfortable, it was pain to been that in the course of a week there was a mark of decline. About a month ago hope of his recovery was abandoned by his physicians and friends, and on Monday night the grim message claimed his victim and the eyes were closed upon earthly scenes.

The brothers are J.P.Bunn Chillicothe Ohio, and Rev.D.P.Bunn of this city. He came to Decatur in 1851 and at once commenced the practice of his profession in which he soon took high rank, and became one of the most prominent attorneys not only of his own county, but of Central Illinois. In 1866 Mr.Bunn was elected a member of the lower house of the state legislature and was at one time assessed of internal revenue.
The time for the funeral has been fixed at 2 o'clock on Thursday afternoon and it will probably take place at the family residence. The services will be conducted by Rev.W.H.Moore, Rector of St.Johns Episcopal Church, assisted by by Rev.W.S.Crissey. The members of the Macon County bar will probably be selected from their number.
