Charlotte Haas Linde, 92, a Fairfax County chemistry teacher who retired in 1971 from Yorktown High School, died of congestive heart failure December 13 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
A former resident of Arlington and McLean, she moved to Rockville, Maryland in 1995.
Mrs. Linde was a native of New York and a graduate of Hunter College. She moved to Northern Virginia in 1941 and began teaching at Wakefield High School in 1955.
She was active in the D.C. chapter of the Associate Alumnae of Hunter College.
Her husband, James E. Linde, died in 1987.
Survivors include three children, Anni Goldberg of Boulder, Colorado, Dr. Richard E. Linde of McLean, Virginia, and Alice Fisher of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
