Emma M. Amer, 100, of RD3 Tamaqua, died Tuesday at Phoebe Home, Allentown.

Born in RD3 West Penn Township, April 16, 1900, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Rice Schaeffer.

She was a member of St. Peter's Union Church, Mantzville, and a member of the former Pocahontas No. 8 Order of the Pennsylvania Chapter, Clamtown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin J. Sr.; 10 brothers, Frank, Milo, Lewis, Austin, LeRoy, Oliver, George, Irwin, William and Charles Schaeffer; a sister, Mammie Schaeffer.

Surviving are a son, Franklin J. Jr., Bethlehem; two daughters, Margie Delp, McKeansburg, and Mary Dotter, Bethlehem; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Union Church. The Rev. Russell Heintzelman will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peter's Church Cemetery, RD3 Tamaqua. Robert S. Nester Funeral Home Inc., RD2 New Ringgold, is in charge of ar-rangements.
