Olly Hooper of Bristol, widow of Burton H. Hooper, died on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Apple Rehabilitation Center, Plainville.

Olly was born in Bristol on December 5, 1922 and was a daughter of the late Wilfred H. and Marie (Lauzon) Hemond. She was a lifelong resident of Bristol and prior to retiring, was employed at New Departure-Hyatt Division of General Motors. She a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, Ladies of St. Ann Society, and was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Local 626. Olly is survived by her chosen child, The Rev. Marie Langer and her husband, George of Terryville; two grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Langer; two brothers, The Rev. Henry A. Hemond of Clintwood, VA and Donald Hemond of Bristol; a sister, Elsie Perron of Bristol; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by a brother, Andrew Hemond, Sr. and a sister, Mary Jane Woodard. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol to St. Ann Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to St. Ann Church Memorial Fund, 180 Laurel St., Bristol, CT 06010.
