COLORADO CITY ~~ Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church for Pfc. Robert O. (Tiger) Davis, 20, Mitchell County's first Viet Nam Casualty.
Pfc. Davis was a 1964 graduate of Colorado City High School and was attached to 101st Airborne Division. He was killed August 12, in combat in Viet Nam.
The Rev. M. A. Smith, pastor will officiate, assisted by Reverend Caddo Mathews, pastor of Plainview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Colorado City Cemetery with military honors, according to Doyle Kiker of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Davis was born November 28, 1945, in Lee County Mississippi, and came to Colorado City with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Davis, in 1952.
Survivors are the parents; four brothers, A.1.C. George Davis Jr., of Thailand, Gene of Colorado City, Darrell and Billy, both of Odessa; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Leech of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Maynette and Rebecca, both of Colorado City.
The body is to arrive by train at 7:15 a.m. Saturday.
