Clifford Daniel

Clifford Daniel, 88, of 2027 Upper Sandlick Road, Beckley, died
Saturday,
Dec. 25, 1993, in a Beckley hospital following a long illness.

Born Oct. 30, 1905, at Sandlick, he was the son of the late Jerry and
Mary
Williams Daniel.

Mr. Daniel was a lifelong resident of the Sandlick area and was the
company
barber for Westmoreland Coal Co. at Eccles for many years. In his
spare
time he was an avid farmer. He was the last surviving member of his
immediate family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tamer Peters Daniel on March 15,
1980;
a brother and a sister.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Peggy) Newman of Sandlick;
nine
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Snuffer Cemetery, Lake
Stephens
with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. Burial will follow.

Friends may call 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
