Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Dee Western, age 89, of Cookeville, will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday September 11 at Dyer Funeral Home. Bro. J.R. Walls and Bro. Jim Tennant will officiate. Interment will follow at Nash Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4 - 8 p.m and again Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Western passed away Saturday morning September 8, 2018 at her home.
She was born July 1, 1929 in Putnam County, TN to the late Green Duke and Ellar Hedgecough Nash.
Mrs. Western was a homemaker and attended Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Western; son-in-law, Harold Maxwell; five sisters, Oshie Duncan, Ina Rhoten, Martha Swafford, Evelyn Randolph, and Adell Allison; and seven brothers, Haskell, Charlie, Oscar, Sam, Jay, Clifford, and Asher Nash.
She is survived by son, John Garland Western of Cookeville; daughter, Barbara Maxwell of Baxter; two sisters, Ruby (James) Lafever of Crossville, and Lorene Trobough of Baxter; and grandson, Devin Maxwell.
Pallbearers will be Russell Swafford, Wayne Nash, Harlin Lafever, Joe Trobough, Mike Allison, and Rocky Allison.
