Mark Steven Schriever passed away peacefully on September 8, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born on September 18, 1956 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Spike and Phyllis Schriever.

Mark was a Medical Case Manager at AIG for the past 11 years assisting families in getting the best possible medical care while traveling overseas. Prior to AIG he was a paramedic and instructor at AMR Ambulance Service while also teaching the EMT program at San Jacinto College. He was a paramedic at Deer Park Volunteer Fire Department where he was recognized as EMS Provider of the Month and Rookie of the Year in 2005. In 2003 Mark was awarded The Star of Life in Washington DC.

Mark was a loving husband, special Dad and an exceptional Pawpaw. Whether he was coaching their softball teams, watching their theatrical performances, traveling to their rodeos or yelling from the stands at their sports events, his family always came first.

Mark will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 41 years, Nancy, his daughters, Danna Schriever (David Shephard), Danielle Ashlock and Courtney Blackerby. Grandchildren Colten McCune (Amber), Shane McCune (Madaline Kennedy), Taylor Paul, Maddie Ashlock, Jaxson Ashlock, Sharlee Shephard and Axandria Shephard. Siblings, Randy Schriever (Sandi), Rick Schriever (Delma), Crissie Emmons (Melvin) Robin Garza and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service honoring Mark’s life will be held at Clearpoint Church in Pasadena on Wednesday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.

Pallbearers: John Cook, Joel Tisdale, Colten McCune, Shane McCune, Bubba McKissack, and David Shepherd. Honorary pallbearers: Jaxson Ashlock and Kelley Hazen.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Clearpoint Church, 5151 East Sam Houston Parkway, Pasadena, Texas 77505 or to the charity of your choice.
