Mildred Lucille "Sue" (Cripps) McCracken long time Maud, Oklahoma resident passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 in Maud, Oklahoma at the age of 77.
Sue was born April 13, 1941 in Cobb, Oklahoma to parents Alfred Cripps and Edith (Goza) Cripps. Sue moved to Maud, Oklahoma in 1977 from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Milburn High School.
Sue married Doyle Ray McCracken on October 14, 1958 in Durant, Oklahoma. They were married for 56 years when Doyle passed away on January 29, 2015. Sue was a member of the Gospel Light House of Tecumseh and the Gospel Light House of Centrahoma, Oklahoma. She loved taking care of people, she was employed as a cook at the Maud Nursing Home and later worked as a home health provider.
Sue is survived by five sons; Terry McCracken and his wife Terry of Maud, Oklahoma, Danny McCracken and his wife Kandi of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, Johnnie McCracken and his wife Shelia of Konawa, Oklahoma, Barry McCracken and his wife Shannon of Maud, Oklahoma, Sam McCracken and his wife Cathy of Fitztown, one daughter; Sandy Harris and her husband, Glen of St. Louis, Oklahoma. Sue is also survived by four brothers; Rogene "Gene" Cripps of Houston, Texas, Larry Cripps of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Harvey and Gena Norris of Yukon, Oklahoma and Johnny Reinehart of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, two sisters; Laura (Sissy) Hamilton and her husband, Jack of Tishomingo, Oklahoma and Brenda Birdsong and husband Robert, of Noble, Oklahoma. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Edith Cripps; husband, Doyle McCracken; son, Roger McCracken who passed away June 3, 2009; grandson, Tyler McCracken; one sister, Betty Reindel and one brother, Dale Norris.
Graveside funeral serves will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Cummings Cemetery, Maud Oklahoma with Larry Beach officiating.
Serving as casket bearers are Terry McCracken, Sam McCracken, Danny McCracken, Terry Wayne McCracken, Bobby McCracken, Terry McCracken, Jr. Honorary casket bearers are Johnny McCracken, Barry McCracken, Glen Harris, Johnny Reinehart and Clif Tinkler.
