James Daniel Pollard

September 12, 1944 – April 5, 2016

The Gates of Heaven swung wide open for James Daniel Pollard on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. Jim was born in Hutchinson, Kansas and later moved with his family and grew up in Midland, Texas.

Jim was so full of life; he was blessed with the special ability to make everyone he met feel so appreciated and special. Whether you called for Jim or James or just “Pollard” you could always count on him being there for you.

His love of music from a very early age followed him throughout his life – whether playing in a band in high school or going out to listen to music or just listening to the local radio station – it all made him happy. Little known facts about songs or lyrics or artists he could pull out of his head in a heartbeat and amaze those that knew him.

Jim made a huge impact on all the people he worked with as a successful sales representative for many years. He took great pride in the many honors and awards he earned from both local and national companies. But nothing else he accomplished or did in his life overshadowed the overwhelming love and pride he felt for his family.

He will always be loved and deeply missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Connie Pollard of Burleson, Son: Jeff Pollard, Grandchildren: Jinny Pollard (Seanray), Cindy Pollard(Devin), Robert Graham, Lindsey Shirvey (Michah), Rebbecca Graham (Morgan), and Great grandson: Vaiden, Brother: Steve Pollard (Sharon), and Sisters: Carolyn Steadham (Roger) and Debbie Pounds (Darryl) and many more extended family members.

Jim was preceded in death by parents Joe and Marie Pollard.

He requested no flowers. If you wish you may make a donation, in his name, to Bar Cross Cowboy Church or a charity of your choice.
