DONALD MATHIS ARNOLD (Age 78), of Alexandria, VA., died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in a Hospital in Greenville, NC. He is predeceased by his father, Ralph Arnold, Sr., loving and devoted mother, Lucille Mathis Arnold Seigel, step-father, Albert Seigel and brother, Ralph Arnold, Jr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Computer Specialist with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He is survived by his aunt, Wilda Mathis Humphries of Memphis, TN., and aunt-in-law, June Mathis of Bowie, MD., and a number of cousins. With declining health he returned to NC to be close to his cousin; Sam Ligon and his wife Virginia. A month ago while in the hospital in Northern, VA., when asked if he would like to return to NC his reponse was, "Yep! The earlier, the better." A Funeral Service will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.
