Charles S. Siferd, 89, Monticello,
died at 7:30 p.m. in Tioga Pines
Living Center, Monticello.

He was born April 12, 1901, in
Adams Township, Carroll County,
to Roy and Elizabeth Bridge
Siferd. He was married in Monticello
Jan. 30, 1932, to Doris E.
Sanders, who survives.

An attorney in Monticello for 55
years, he served as attorney for
REMC in White County for 45
years. He was admitted to the bar
in 1932, and was a member of
White County Bar Association, Indiana
State Bar Association, and
American Bar Association. He had
lived in Monticello since 1930,
moving from Wolcott. Prior to
practicing law, he was a school
teacher for 16 years in Wolcott and
Monticello. He was a member of
Monticello First Presbyterian
Church, and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving with the wife are one
daughter, Margery A. Nichter,
Camby, Minn.; one sister, Addie
Burris, Lockport; two
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded in death.

Services were Tuesday in Monticello
with burial in Davis
Cemetery, Burnettsville.
