A. V. REINEMAN KILLED BY FALL
Chambersburg Jeweler Who Had Relatives Here Met Sudden Death
Augustus V. Reineman, a well known jeweler of Chambersburg, was seized with apoplexy about 9 o'clock Thursday night at his home, fell down a flight of stairs sustaining a fracture of his skull which caused his death a few moments after the accident. He had retired and the supposition that he was overtaken with illness and had endeavored to reach the landing at the head of the stairway to summon a member of the family so that medical assistance could be obtained.
Mr. Reineman is survived by his wife and two sons, one of whom Tyler who was associated with his father in business and is well known here is married to Lola, daughter of W. E. Canter, the well-known Waynesboro tailor.
Mr. Reineman was born in Chambersburg, July 14, 1847, the son of Augustus Reineman, for years a well known _____ (unreadable on the newspaper film) and wealthy citizen of Chambersburg. The dead man was engaged in the jewelry business all his life and owned valuable real estate. He was a member of the First Lutheran church, of the Improved Order of Heptasophs, the I. O. O. F. and the Masons. He was a man of marked charitable impulses and many needy persons were indebted to him through many years for assistance.
His untimely death was a great shock to his very many friends.
