Don E. Kiger, 70 of Streetsboro passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born November 25, 1940 in Waynesburg, PA, to the late Grover and Belle (Parkinson) Kiger. He served with the US Army from 1958-1962. He worked for Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant for 35 1/2 years till he retired in 2001. Don was a member of the Ravenna Moose Post 1234, UAW Local 122, Streetsboro American Legion Post 685, Acker-Moore Memorial VFW Post 4738 in Stow. He also enjoyed gambling, watching TV, football games, and loved watching his grandsons play soccer. Survivors include his loving wife, Nancy J. (Raber) Kiger, whom he married September 11, 1965, daughter, Donna (Scott) Greene of Iron Station, NC, grandsons, Jacob and Joshua, sister, Mary Kiger and Lorraine Weber both of Waynesburg, PA, nephew, Terry Weber of Ravenna. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandria Kiger, brothers, Robert and Allen Kiger. Calling hours will be held from 5 - 8 PM Monday, December 27, 2010 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 28, 2010 with, his nephew, Pastor James Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
