Antonio (Tony) Adeline passed away on September 12, 2018, at his home in Yakima, Washington. Tony was born in Yakima on March 21, 1925, to Robert and Clio Adeline. Both of his parents were from Greece, and Tony embraced his Greek heritage with pride and enthusiasm. Tony graduated from Yakima High School (Davis High) in 1943 and from Central Washington College of Education (CWU) in 1949. It was at CWCE where he met his future wife, Roxiann Bundy. They married on October 15, 1949, in Richland, Washington.

After living in Ellensburg for two years, Tony and Roxiann moved to Richland where they resided for nearly 40 years. During that time, Tony was employed at the Hanford Nuclear Reservation. He retired as President of the Hanford Environmental Health Foundation. While in Richland, Tony helped found the GESA Federal Credit Union, now GESA. He served on countless boards including the Richland Bomber Boosters, PTA, school building committees, and Richland Youth Baseball.

After retiring, Tony and Roxiann moved to Yakima to be closer to family. For several years, Tony volunteered at the Yakima Valley Museum and St. Paul Cathedral School. He also was a longtime member of the Yakima Elks Club.

Tony and Roxiann enjoyed traveling. This included numerous trips in the Northwest, as well as to other countries. They visited all seven continents, over 50 countries, and most of the United States and Canada. Trips to Hawaii were almost yearly events after retirement, while Orcas Island was the annual destination when they were raising their family.

Tony is survived by his two children, Nancy (Kyle) Welsch of Yakima and Robert (Judy) Adeline of Mount Vernon, Washington. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Young, Emily Welsch, Joel (Cali) Adeline, and Rachel (Andrew) Porter, and two great-grandchildren, Hayden Young and Aila Adeline. In addition, sisters Katherina Adeline of Yakima and Cleo (John) Rumpakis of Portland, survive Tony. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife of 66 years, Roxiann.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Yakima Valley Museum or the charity of one’s choice.

Services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Shaw and Sons Funeral Home, in Yakima. The Rev. Father Christos Kalaitzis of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Portland, will preside.
