Charlie Eugene Sigmon, age 90 of Maiden passed away, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Brian Center of Lincolnton.

Born January 19, 1928 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Charles Gordon and Lida Mae Rhyne Sigmon.

He was the owner and operator of Shell Service Stations in Maiden and Asheville. Charlie was a member of Providence Road Baptist Church and served in the US Navy.

In addition to his parents, first wife, Loretta Chapman Sigmon; 2 brothers, Robert Sigmon, Carroll Sigmon; 3 sisters, Myrtle Crouse, Ruth Sigmon and Leila Armstrong preceded him in death.

Left to cherish his memory:

Wife of 29 years: Edna W. Sigmon of the home

2 Sons: Hal Wilkinson and wife Roxanne of Maiden; Mark Wilkinson and wife Ginger of Casar

2 Daughters: Sheila Kirby of Maiden; Debra Parrott and husband Mike of Maiden

6 Grandchildren: Kristin Parrott, Alison Miller, Dustin Wilkinson, Holly Mahkovtz, Brit Wilkinson and Shelby Duval

3 Great-Grandchildren: Taylor Parrott, Landon Wilkinson, Ellie Duval

2 Sisters: Ruby Lutz of Maiden and Shirley Black and husband Robert of Newton

Brother: David Sigmon and wife Mary of Oak Island

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Providence Road Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Worley and Rev. Nathaniel Austin officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, in Lincolnton.
