Bonnie Waggoner was the daughter of Thomas Henry Brittingham and Beatrice Mae Slayton. She lived with her Aunt and Uncle Gretchen Slayton Carter and Horace M. Carter most of her youth starting when she was a toddler. Bonnie married George Raymond Waggoner in August 1941. At the time he was a Junior High School teacher and basketball coach. After the Pearl Harbor attack later that year, George was drafted into the Army in January 1942. He attended officer training school and was assigned to the Pentagon. In 1947 he left active duty to work at the C.I.A. Bonnie and their children moved with him on assignments, including living in London where George was a liaison to British Intelligence. When back in Virginia, Bonnie worked for Fairways Corporation out of National Airport as a stewardess on VIP flights. She was survived by her children and grandchildren.
