Obituary for Jerry Joe Pace
Jerry Joe Pace was born December 12, 1950 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas to Harold Dean Pace and Hazel G. (Callis) Pace. He passed from this life on Saturday, September 15, 2018, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 67 years. After moving to Owasso, Oklahoma when he was two, Jerry was raised and educated in Owasso and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1969. After High School he attended classes at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Arts and Education. He married Karan Lynette (Sullivan) Pace in Anson, Texas on December 31, 1971. Jerry held various jobs throughout his life such as an Oil Field Pumper, Industrial Arts Teacher, and working for Wal-Mart. His family were charter members of Bethel Baptist Church and he attended for over 50 years until God called him to join Friendship Baptist Church in 2012. He was a Jack of all trades and had many hobbies, but more recently he enjoyed bee keeping, Dutch oven cooking, and bow making. Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include:
His wife; Karan Pace, of Owasso. Daughter; Krista Pace, of Owasso, Sons; Joe Pace, Sr. and wife Jennifer, of Owasso, Justin Pace and wife Kimberly, of Spring, Texas
Sister;Diane Russell and husband Jim, of Owasso
5 Grandchildren; Joey, Jack, and Anna Pace, of Owasso, Madison and Aiden Pace, of Spring, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Gerry, and his brother, Lynn.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Mowery Funeral Service. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Linzy Slayden officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jerry's memory to the Friendship Baptist Church Mission Fund, 14100 E. 86th St. N., Owasso, OK 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
