Marlin L. Myers, age 77, of Gardners, PA died Sunday evening, September 23, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle Carlisle Hospital.

He was born in Carlisle on October 16, 1940 to the late Line Myers and Bessie Shambaugh.

Marlin had retired from the former Wilcox Forging Steel Company in Mechanicsburg after 30 years of employment. Marlin was a very simple man who enjoyed his Honda Motorcycles and anything else made by Honda. He was a very avid four-wheeler and enjoyed camping with his family. He was what you call a ”jack of all trades,” where he could fix almost anything.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Betty Johnson Myers; two sons, Richard L. Myers (companion Sommer Johnson) and Jason L. Myers, all of Gardners; one daughter, Rena K. Wilson (husband Michael) of Mt. Holly Springs; seven grandchildren, Kenneth, Brandi, and Tomorow Myers, Alisa Sullenger, Courtney Johnson, and Hunter and Tanner Wilson; one great-grandson Dakota Failor, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 2:30 pm at Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Rd., Carlisle, PA with Rev. Richard L. Reese officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. There will be a viewing at the funeral home Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.

The family would welcome any flower donation or contributions to Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory to help defray funeral expenses.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory, 2020 W. Trindle Road, Carlisle, PA 17013.
