She was born Sept. 21, 1935 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Alvin and Zora A. Cox (Dodgem) Brewer. On Aug. 20, 1964 in Fort Wayne she married Gordon "Jug" DeHaven who preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1988.
Sue retired from the Logansport State Hospital where she worked in the dietary department. She was also the former owner of Fore Corner's Café. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, was an avid Harry Potter fan, avid bowler and enjoyed her dogs.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Sommers, Indianapolis; three sons, Keith "Shorty" Woodruff and James (Linda) Woodruff both of Logansport, and Timothy Woodruff, Indianapolis; two stepsons: Gordon Charles DeHaven, Norman, Oklahoma; and Richard DeHaven, Jacksonville, Florida; one stepdaughter, Myra Lincoln, Sesser, Illinois; several grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters, three brothers, twin daughters, Brenda Joyce and Linda Marie Woodruff, have preceded her in death.
