Sharon D. Norris, 66, of Salina, passed away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. Sharon Diane Bender was born Dec. 1, 1951, to Edwin and Ella Mae Bender, of Russell. She married Jerry Norris on Nov. 28, 1977, in Minneapolis.

Sharon was a wonderful cook and loving mother to their seven children. She enjoyed live music and always found ways to help those around her. She worked customer service jobs where she never met a stranger. Her gift of gab set people at ease, while her generosity and spirituality drew them into her loving circle.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jerry; brother, Dwayne Bender (Jane); sister, Melissa Bender-Landis; sons, Darin, Brady, Brian, Chris (Megan), Curt and Craig (Meghan); daughter, Jenny Burch (Allen); 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Butch.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Ryan Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Tammy Walker Cancer Center, or Valley Hope, Norton, in care of Ryan Mortuary.
