Steven was a very dear friend to my daughter, Sarah. He died unexpectedly on May 9, 2007. This is devastating to his family and his friends.

He was born in Danbury, Nov. 2, 1983, beloved son of Margaret MacDonald Remlin of New Milford. Steven was raised in Bethel and moved to New Milford in 1998.

A graduate of New Milford High School, he worked for Advanced Auto in New Milford for eight years and a carpenter in the construction business, and recently as a painter.

He loved working on cars and helping others with their cars. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make others laugh.

Chorus from 'He's My Son,' by Mark Schultz

Can You hear me?
Am I getting through tonight?
Can You see him?
Can You make him feel all right?
If You can hear me
Let me take his place somehow
See, he's not just anyone
He's my son

Can You hear me?
Can You see him?
Please don't leave him
He's my son
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me;
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play;
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then lift it with remembering joy,
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah, yes, these things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow;
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now--He set me free.
Steven is survived by two brothers: Clifford Remlin of Southbury and Wayne Remlin of New Milford; a sister, Tiffany Remlin of New Milford; paternal grandmother, Florence Remlin of Southbury; maternal grandfather, James MacDonald of Stamford; Sandy MacDonald of Stamford; two uncles: Terry Remlin of Danbury and Jon MacDonald of Florida and several cousins.
