Mrs. Jennie B. Norton, formerly a resident of Waverly, died Monday night at her home in Jacksonville, where she had lived for the past 30 years. Death followed a lingering illness.
Mrs. Norton was born in Ashly, Mo., in March 1867. Her husband, John B. Norton died in 1925. A daughter, Mrs. Nellie Blue, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by three sons, Beecher Norton, of Detroit, Mich., Douglas and John, of Jacksonville; one brother, Frank House, of Jacksonville, 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Mrs. Norton was a member of Mt. Emory Baptist church, Jacksonville.
Funeral services were held at the Gilllham Funeral Home, Jacksonville Wednesday afternoon, and burial was in East cemetery.
