David J. Adams, 59, of Payson, Utah passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003.

He was born February 21, 1944, in American Fork, Utah to Joseph R. and Lena Lamb Adams.

David graduated from Orem High School and attended Southern Utah State University and BYU.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

David was a member of the National Guard during the Viet Nam era. He was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #1498 for 30 years. David was past president of the Utah Quarter Horse Association and bred and raised Quarter Horses for 40 years. He loved his horses. He also enjoyed sports and the outdoors.

He was a good father and loved his children.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya, his children; Tony D. (Natalie) Adams, Provo, Utah; Polly Adams, Salt Lake City; Stephen J. Adams, Payson and Jesse R. Adams, also of Payson; three grandchildren, Tyler and Brendon Adams and Jake Anton Barnett. He is also survived by three sisters, Jolene (Carl) Liddell, Alamosa, CO; Sheryl A. Olsen, Orem, Utah and Nancy (David) Olsen, Salem, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003, at 12 noon in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening at the Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. and also Saturday morning from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the Payson Cemetery.
