Lillian "Lil" Josephine Laznovsky, 70, passed away in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday, September 30, 2018. Burial will be at Myrtle Cemetery.

Lil was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Arnold and Emily Marie (Komrska) Vesley. She grew up in Berwyn, Illinois, and graduated from Morton East High School in 1966. She went on to receive her Associate’s Degree from Morton Junior College.

On November 29, 1969, she married Larry Laznovsky and they made their home in Ennis, Texas. They met when Larry attended a National Sokol Slet in Chicago and it was love at first sight. They spent many years coaching and mentoring young athletes and traveled the world together.

Lil worked for Leggett and Platt for three years in the payroll and Human Resource Department and she was a manager at the Sokol Activity Center for over twenty years.

Lil was a member of Sokol, KJT, and SPJST. She enjoyed traveling, coaching gymnastics, going to the casinos, Karaoke, and socializing, because she never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Laznovsky; and a brother, Arny Vesely.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Vyers and her husband, Nathan, and Lori Laznovsky; grandchildren: Kyle Vyers, Kristen Vyers, and Olivia Vyers; brother, Stan Vesely and his wife, Valerie; other relatives and many friends. S5
