LOWEL
David K. Lowel died March 21st, 1860, at the residence of his son, David Lowel, at Nunda station, aged 80 years. Br. Lowel was born in the State of Maine, 1780, where he remained about 20 years; thence he removed to Madison County, in this State, (New York) and in this and Oneida County he lived about 20 years; thence he removed to the vicinity where he died. He experienced religion in early life, but like too many, lost its enjoyment and lived in this state for some time, but was finally reclaimed and continued a uniform Christian course to death. His mind by age was somewhat impaired, yet he would converse favorably and encouragingly on spiritual things--just at the close of life he took unusual interest in the exercises of family prayer.
